
Moldova: 19 out of the planned 33 modern pavilions for waiting transportation on national public roads have been built.
The State Road Administration reported this, noting that the installation and arrangement of other such pavilions is in full swing. The works on the construction of modern pavilions for passengers to wait for transport are part of the road and public transport infrastructure development projects, designed to facilitate travel and ensure the comfort and safety of road users. The pavilions are being built according to a modern standard project characterized by innovative and functional design. These lightweight metal structures with safety glass panels feature wooden seats, garbage cans, street lighting supports and two photovoltaic panels. The project also includes landscaping and sidewalk construction to provide a complete and functional environment for users. So far, 19 such modern pavilions have been built in Orhei, Rezina, Telenesti, Drochia, Riscani, Soroca, Floresti, Soldanesti, Straseni, Calarasi, Ungheni and Falesti districts, as well as in Chisinau municipality. The works on the installation of 14 more such stations of waiting transportation are continuing in other districts of the country: Cimislia, Causeni, Taraclia, Novoaneni, Hincesti and others. In total, the project envisages the construction of 33 such pavilions. The works are carried out in accordance with the Program of allocation of resources of the Road Fund for National Public Roads for 2023. Thanks to the construction of new transport waiting pavilions on national public roads, passengers will wait for public transport only in specially designated places, will get comfort and protection during rain, heat, etc. // 03.01.2024 – InfoMarket
