Transportation services between Moldova and EU countries will be improved.

Transportation services between Moldova and EU countries will be improved.

This is envisaged, in particular, by the draft ratification of the Protocol on international regular and special regular carriage of passengers by coach and bus to the Agreement on the International Occasional Carriage of Passengers by Coach and Bus (INTERBUS Agreement), signed in Brussels on September 28, 2000, passed by the Moldovan Parliament in the first reading. The Additional Protocol regulates international transportation services. Accordingly, passengers from our country, who will travel by bus to/from the European Union, will be able to enjoy better conditions. In particular, according to the conditions and authorization procedures established by the protocol, transport operators will be obliged to display the route, stops, timetable, fare, and this information should be available to all passengers. Ratification of the protocol also gives advantages to transport operators, who will find it easier and faster to obtain authorization documents for bus passenger transportation between our country and the European Union. A single mechanism to authorize regular and special regular transport will be established - a permit similar to the INTERBUS card will be issued by only one authority in the state of transport departure. The ratification of the mentioned document will contribute to the integration of the national transport system into the European system. The development of international road transportation between Moldova and the EU within the framework of the mentioned protocol will allow establishing cooperation, which will lead to the creation of new jobs. At the same time, consumers will get better services at lower tariffs. //27.11.2023 - InfoMarket.
