
Fifteen direct flights from Chisinau airport have been resumed.
In particular, Hungarian low cost airline Wizz Air reopened its base in Chisinau with 3 Airbus A321neo aircrafts and announced about the resumption of 15 flights from Chisinau and to Chisinau, as well as about increasing frequency of 3 flights already operated. The first flights to new destinations, Berlin, Paris, Memmingen and Venice, were operated the day before. Avia Invest management welcomed the airline's decision to resume 15 direct flights to and from Chisinau airport, saying that the opening of Chisinau base and resumption of Wizz Air direct flights is a long-awaited moment for Avia Invest as well as for its passengers. Avia Invest also welcomed the decision of Wizz Air to increase the frequency to 3 departures for the already existing flights. Avia Invest, which operates the capital's airport, said it supports airlines' efforts to return to normal operation of direct flights from and to Chisinau airport in the context of the aftermath of the pandemic as well as the war in the region.
