Romania has approved new exemptions for the transportation of Moldovan freight containers from/to the port of Constanta.
The Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development of Moldova has announced this, noting that as a result of the steps taken by the Romanian authorities to facilitate the transportation of goods from Moldova to the port of Constanta, the Romanian Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure has approved new derogations from the application of tariffs provided for exceeding the maximum allowed weight and dimensions, applied by the National Company for Road Infrastructure Management (CNAIR). The derogations apply to road vehicles registered in Romania and Moldova, meeting a number of conditions and following an authorized route from Constanta port to Albita border crossing and back. The total length of the route is about 520 km. The validity of special transport permits issued before the date of adoption of the mentioned order is maintained, while the authorized route is valid in both directions. More information is available on the website of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development of Moldova and the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Romania. // 14.04.2022 – InfoMarket
