
The Ministry of Finance will provide the Railway of Moldova with 377 million 756.56 thousand lei to increase the company's authorized capital from the loan.
The decision was approved at today's government meeting. The money will be allocated from the European Investment Bank within a project on the purchase of locomotives and on the restructuring of the railway infrastructure. The allocated money will be capitalized as payment of the last instalment for 12 purchased electric locomotives and an advance for rehabilitation works of the Bender-Causeni-Basarabeasca-Etulia-Giurgiulesti railroad segment. The founder of the Railways of Moldova, the Public Property Agency, will ensure an increase in the company's authorized capital and will make corresponding changes in its charter.
