
The airspace of Moldova remains closed during the state of emergency in order to ensure the safety and protection of civil aviation.
This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development Andrei Spinu, noting that the Civil Aviation Authority is in close contact with aviation operators and aviation authorities of other countries. According to him, the Regional State Administration and the Ministry of Defense are also constantly monitoring the situation and the possibility of an early opening of airspace. “The last meeting on this issue was held on March 3. We have to consider all the aspects presented by the participants of the meeting, and then make a decision,” Andrei Spinu stressed. At the same time, the Civil Aviation Authority informs that, in accordance with Regulation No. 5 of March 3 of the Commission for Emergency Situations of Moldova, it may allow the use of airspace in the following cases: a change in the location of civil aircraft of domestic and foreign operators; commercial air cargo and mail flights of domestic and foreign air carriers; humanitarian, repatriation and emergency medical flights; other justified cases, limited by the state of emergency.// 04.03.2022 — InfoMarket
