At the same time, the re-export of goods in 2021 amounted to $711.2 million (22.6% of the total), which is 22.7% more than in 2020. At the same time, the re-export of goods after processing (clothes, shoes, parts footwear, armchairs, electrical wiring and cables, other products for the automotive industry, shelled nuts, chairs and other furniture, suitcases, textile products, toys, etc.) accounted for 15.2% of total exports, and the classic re-export of foreign goods (drugs, cigarettes, wine distillates, whiskey, gin, vodka, liqueurs, beer, fuel, fabrics, knitwear, essential oils, perfumes and cosmetics, vehicles, furniture, etc.) - 7.4%. According to the NBS, for the export of goods abroad in this period, road transport was most often used - 83.7% of the total, followed by sea transport - 9.5%, railway - 5.6%, air - 1.2%. In general, Moldovan exports to the EU countries in 2021, compared to 2020, increased by 17% - up to $1 billion 919.4 million, to the CIS countries - increased by 23.7% - up to $466.2 million, and to other countries - increased 1.7 times - up to $758.8 million. The share of EU countries in the total volume of Moldovan exports for the specified period decreased from 66.49% to 61.04%, the share of CIS countries - decreased from 15.28% to 14.83%, while the share of other countries increased from 18.23% to 24.13%. According to the NBS, the main destination countries for Moldovan exports in the reporting period were: Romania (26.5% of total Moldovan exports).
