New EU standards in the field of aviation will be approved in Moldova.
It's about aviation safety, security, passenger rights, air traffic management, economic regulation, as well as competition and other social issues. In particular, this is envisaged by the draft law on the ratification of the decision of the joint committee created by the Agreement on Common Airspace between Moldova and the European Union and its Member States, signed on June 26, 2012. The Commission for Foreign Policy and European Integration and the Commission for Economy, Budget and Finance of the Moldovan Parliament approved the report on this bill, recommending that it be considered by the deputies at the plenary session. According to the document, the implementation of the new provisions is a continuation of the steps that Moldova must take to open the market for direct flights for all airlines between the EU and Moldova. At the same time, it is proposed to facilitate trade between the parties, as well as increase the mobility of citizens, including in the tourism sector. It should be noted that the document is aimed at creating a common airspace based on the goal of opening access to the markets of the parties, in conditions of equal competition and compliance with the same rules, including security, aviation security, air traffic management, social and environmental aspects. The Common Airspace Agreement between Moldova and the EU and its Member States was signed on June 26, 2012 in Brussels. // 02.02.2022 — InfoMarket
