The Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development proposes to retain the current tariffs for road transportation of passengers on regular routes.
The ministry announced public consultations on the draft of a new order on approval of tariffs for regular passenger transportation on regional and inter-district routes. According to the draft, starting from January 1, 2022, road transport haulage will be carried out at a basic rate of 60 bani / km per passenger, and when confirming I level of comfort a higher tariff - 70 bani / km per passenger will be applied. Similar tariffs are currently in effect. The explanatory note to the project contains the agency's analysis, compiled on the basis of the data of 7 operators in the field of passenger transportation. It showed that the daily mileage of a vehicle is about 200 kilometers, a working day of a driver lasts 5-8 hours and the payment ranges from 21 to 37 lei per hour. At the same time, the agency notes that the operators have declared higher expenses for lubricants, tires and maintenance, indicators of wear and tear that do not comply with the methodology of calculation, and the lack of calculation of total and administrative expenses per route. At the same time, ANTA reports that about 80% of the vehicles on regular routes are 10-21 seats, 12.7% are 22-40 seats, and 6.6% are 41-60 seats. 48% of the vehicles are more than 20 years old, 30.6% are 16 to 20 years old, 17.7% are 11 to 15 years old and only 3.7% of the fleet is under 10 years old. Consultations on the project are through Dec. 23: https://cutt.ly/1UrLoMo.
