
The Moldovan Parliament ratified an intergovernmental agreement with the United Kingdom on the readmission of persons residing illegally
The document was signed in Chisinau on November 20, 2024, and provides that the parties will cooperate in combating illegal immigration. The agreement establishes quick and effective procedures for identifying and safely returning persons who do not meet the conditions for legal residence in the territory of both states. At the same time, according to the agreement, Moldova and the UK undertake to ensure and guarantee the rights, obligations, and responsibilities arising from international law.
