In Moldova, scholarships for pupils and students will be indexed by 4.6%, with 17.26 million lei envisaged for this purpose in the state budget for 2025
This decision was adopted by the government. The initiative is aimed at boosting academic performance and is meant for several categories of beneficiaries in the education system. According to the document, honorary and special scholarships will be indexed for talented students of the republican art boarding schools, as well as for students of the IV-IX classes of the National College of Choreography. In addition, scholarships will be increased for university students (cycle I, cycle II, integrated studies, medical and pharmaceutical education), as well as for students of post-secondary vocational education, post-secondary non-tertiary and secondary education. Military and community policing scholarships and honorary scholarships are also concerned. “We are adjusting the amount of scholarships to take into account the inflation of the previous year. Thus, scholarships will increase by about 4.6%. This measure, we believe, will contribute to attracting more students to our country,” said Education and Research Minister Dan Perciun. The indexation of the scholarships will not require additional finances, as the State Budget Law for 2025 already envisages 17.26 million lei for this purpose. //16.04.2025 - InfoMarket.
