Social assistants will receive new IT equipment worth about 1.5 million lei under the Restart social assistance reform
The new batch of equipment, designed to strengthen the digitalization of the social assistance system, was provided by Moldova's partners - UNICEF, GIZ, the German Embassy and UNDP. In particular, the Labor and Social Protection Ministry said that 260 printers and 35 laptops will be handed over to territorial social assistance agencies, in order to make social services and interaction with beneficiaries more accessible, especially in rural areas. The Ministry said that since the launch of the Restart reform, all indicators of the social security system have improved. For example, if at the beginning of 2024 the system employed about 3.4 thousand people, today social assistance is provided by more than 30 thousand workers. This will increase the coverage of social assistance beneficiaries. In particular, the number of beneficiaries of the home care service and the Mobile Brigade service has increased, the number of consultations has increased, activities for the protection and prevention of violence against women and girls have been strengthened, etc. // 11.02.2025 - InfoMarket.
