Moldova will implement eSocial information system for digitalization of social services
The Government of Moldova has approved the concept of creating this system at the initiative of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, which is aimed at digitalizing and optimizing the administration of social benefits and services, as well as improving the implementation of social assistance programs in Moldova. The eSocial information system is a modern IT solution for data management in the field of social protection of the "single window" type, which involves the centralization of all information and services in a single accessible information system. The system will ensure interconnection with other state registries, which will avoid duplication of information and ensure effective management of cases of social vulnerability. According to the Minister of Labor and Social Protection Alexei Buzu, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection currently has 14 information systems for citizens, including on compensation, child protection, disability and employment. However, a fragmented approach does not allow tracking all beneficiaries and ensuring effective measures. "To remedy this situation, we are developing a single eSocial platform that will integrate all existing and developing information systems," said Alexei Buzu. According to him, the implementation of the eSocial information system is an important step in the modernization of social services, facilitating cooperation between the institutions involved and helping to provide more effective support to citizens in difficult situations. Thus, the Government of Moldova confirms its commitment to developing a social policy based on digitalization and administrative efficiency. The initiative to implement the eSocial information system is supported by the Government of Italy through the United Nations Development Programme, which has provided Moldova with 10 million euros in grant financial assistance to promote energy efficiency and digitalization of the energy sector and social protection, including the implementation of the single eSocial platform. // 29.01.2025 — InfoMarket.
