Moldova’s largest private reproductive medical clinic, Repromed, is being deliberately bankrupted and its assets and profits are being withdrawn - company co-founder Veaceslav Mosin

Moldova’s largest private reproductive medical clinic, Repromed, is being deliberately bankrupted and its assets and profits are being withdrawn - company co-founder Veaceslav Mosin

At a press conference on Wednesday, he said the clinic operates on the basis of his research and over the past 20 years, more than 6,000 children have been born to families experiencing difficulties. Along with him, the co-founder of the clinic is Alina Hotineanu, the daughter-in-law of Vladimir Hotineanu, who was a member of parliament and Minister of Health of Moldova in the past. Veaceslav Mosin worked at Repromed SRL until 2020, when he was forced to leave due to COVID-19. At a press conference, Mosin said that from that moment on, the administration of Repromed SRL began to lead the company into bankruptcy and transfer assets and profits to a new company - AidMed SRL, the sole owner of which is Alina Hotineanu. Mosin noted that patients who come to the well-known Repromed clinic, receiving medical services there on the equipment and premises of this company, ultimately pay for these services to the AidMed SRL cash desk. During the years of Veaceslav Mosin’s illness, all current expenses fell on Repromed SRL, and all income fell on AidMed SRL. If in 2020 Repromed’s profit was 30 million lei with a profitability of 30%, and AidMed’s was 0.5 million lei with a profitability of 13%; then in 2022 Repromed’s profit was 10 million lei (10% profitability), AidMed’s is 74 million lei (69% profitability). In 2023, Repromed's profit decreased to 3 million lei; data for AidMed for 2023 was not presented. Veaceslav Mosin draws attention to the fact that Repromed accounts for up to 90% of total expenses, for example, only for personnel: Repromed employs three times more people who perform basic work than the number of AidMed employees. The activities are carried out under the Repromed brand, and all profits are transferred to AidMed. Veaceslav Mosin notes that the catalyst for this situation was his illness, as well as the fact that after recovery he wanted to sell his share in the company and retire. His partner in Repromed did not buy a share, but since he manages the clinic, he now withdraws the profit to his company. At the press conference, it was noted that the Repromed trademark belongs personally to Alina Hotineanu, to which Mosin’s lawyers pointed out that there were violations during registration and ownership of the brand will be challenged in court. At the same time, it was emphasized that the AidMed trademark was not registered. At a press conference on Wednesday, based on the data presented, Veaceslav Mosin noted that he currently does not have access to the clinic’s documents and appealed to all government authorities to check the competence of the personnel of both companies, how operations and special drugs are monitored, and check the availability and compliance with all necessary documents, in particular medical ones, as well as assess whether damage to the health of patients and financial damage to the state budget have been caused. It was emphasized that such cases spoil the investment image of Moldova and should attract the appropriate attention of the authorities. // 10.07.2024 – InfoMarket.
