Moldova: Tariffs for paid medical and sanitary services provided by state medical institutions have increased since July 1.
The cost of services covered by mandatory health insurance funds and services provided in public and private medical institutions has also increased. The government approved these changes at the end of February, providing a transition period for entry. In particular, the updated Catalog of uniform tariffs for paid services of public medical institutions, as well as for services covered from mandatory medical insurance funds provided by public and private institutions, includes over 4 thousand types of services and tariffs for them. Some services will more than double in price. For example, a consultation with a family doctor or medical specialist has risen in price from 90 to 200 lei, and a consultation with a professor - from 165 to 365 lei. An initial consultation with a dentist costs 253 lei (instead of 107), and a consultation with a professor in the field of dentistry has more than doubled in price - up to 383 lei. Tests and medical interventions, diagnostics, research and manipulation will become more expensive. The Ministry of Health noted that the new tariffs are brought into line with the real costs of medical service providers, while most tariffs have not changed since 2011. // 01.07.2024 - InfoMarket.
