The standard retirement age for women increased by another six months from July 1 and is 61 years.
According to the National Social Insurance Agency (CNAS), the retirement age for men remains unchanged at 63 years. The retirement age for women is increased by 6 months annually in order to equalize the standard retirement age for men and women by 2028 - 63 years. For both men and women, the standard insurance period is 34 years; it has been established since July 2019. CNAS recalled that a reduction in the standard retirement age is provided to women who gave birth and raised 5 or more children before the age of 8. For them, the retirement age has been reduced by 3 years and from July 1 it is 58 years. CNAS draws attention to the fact that the old-age pension is established from the day all conditions are met and when documents are submitted within 90 days from the date of reaching retirement age. The pension is assigned from the date of submission of the last document. In this case, the package of documents is considered within 60 days from the date of submission of the application with all the necessary documents. It is also reported that, based on the full insurance period provided for women from July 1, when determining an early pension for a long-term career, they need to confirm 37 years of insurance experience, and for men, the contribution period remains unchanged - 39 years. To check the retirement age, the institution recommends using the electronic service “Retirement Age Calculator” on the website www.cnas.gov.md, in the section “Electronic services provided by CNAS”. This service allows users to find out the year in which they will be able to claim their age pension. // 01.07.2024 - InfoMarket.
