
The volume of construction work in Moldova in 2021 decreased relative to 2020 by 0.3% in comparable prices.
The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) reported this, without providing data in monetary terms. At the same time, it is noted that, according to the elements of the structure of completed construction work, last year the volume of current repair work decreased by 18.5%, and capital repairs decreased by 2.1%. At the same time, the volume of new construction works increased by 10.7%. According to the NBS, as far as construction projects are concerned, the volume of work performed in the construction of residential buildings in January-December 2021, compared to the same period of the previous year, increased by 12.6% in comparable prices. At the same time, the volume of work in the construction of engineering structures decreased by 5.6%, and in the construction of non-residential buildings - decreased by 3.2%.
