Energocom purchases gas for Transnistria on Romanian and Bulgarian exchanges and has supplied more than 5.7 million cubic meters of gas to Tiraspoltransgaz since February 1

This follows from a statement by the aforementioned state-owned company. It notes that, in particular, since February 1, Energocom has supplied natural gas to the national gas network, in accordance with Tiraspoltransgaz's requests and in compliance with the Regulations of the Emergency Situations Commission, in the following volumes: February 1 - 450 thousand cubic meters; February 2 - 2.7 million cubic meters; February 3 - 2 million 575 thousand cubic meters. As Energocom reported, natural gas intended for Transnistria was purchased on Romanian and Bulgarian exchanges and transported via the Trans-Balkan Corridor and the Iasi-Ungheni gas pipeline. The European Union has allocated 30 million euros in emergency aid to Moldova to overcome the energy crisis, of which 20 million euros will be used as humanitarian aid for Transnistria and will be used to purchase gas for households, schools, hospitals, and other social facilities. With the remaining 10 million euros, Energocom buys electricity daily on the BRM and OPCOM exchanges for consumption on the right bank of the Dniester. // 03.02.2025 – InfoMarket.
