Representatives of the European Commission and the Energy Community Secretariat during their visit to Energocom familiarized themselves with the process of gas and electricity procurement with EU grant funds

According to a statement issued by the state-owned Energocom, a delegation from Brussels, headed by Director General of the Directorate General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations (DG ENEST) Geert Jan Koopman and Director of the Energy Community Secretariat Artur Lorkowski, visited Energocom on Monday to find out firsthand how the process of gas and electricity purchases is going on in the current energy crisis. The European Union has allocated Moldova a grant of 30 million euros for the purchase of energy resources needed both for consumers on the left bank of the Dniester and on the right bank. In particular, the matter concerns 20 million euros worth of gas for the left bank and 10 million euros worth of electricity for consumers on the right bank. Energocom is in charge of both processes. The members of the European delegation were interested in where gas was purchased in the first days, what tasks Energocom faces in supplying the country with gas and electricity and what are the best ways out of the crisis. The members of the delegation were impressed by the pace of the company's development and professionalism of Energocom's specialists. // 03.02.2025 - InfoMarket.
