The corresponding decree of the National Agency for Energy Regulation was published on Friday in Monitorul Oficial (the Official Journal of Moldova) and came into force on January 10. In particular, the heat tariff for Termoelectrica consumers increased by 686 lei (+37.6%) - from 1824 to 2510 lei per Gcal, and for CET-Nord - by 307 lei (+16.9%) - from 1819 to 2126 lei per Gcal. At the same time, the tariffs for the production of electricity supplied by these CHPPs increased to 316 bani/kWh and 316 bani/kWh. It is worth noting that both companies had initially requested for a higher tariff hike. Let us remind you that the previous time the heat tariffs for consumers of Termoelectrica and CET-Nord companies were changed at the end of July 2024: at that time the tariff for consumers of Chisinau CHPP was reduced by almost 15% - to 1824 lei per Gcal, and for consumers of the northern supplier - reduced by 19% - to 1819 lei per Gcal.
