Moldova will not interfere if Russian gas supplies to Transnistria are resumed – OSCE

This was announced by the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Elina Valtonen at a meeting with the head of Transnistria Vadim Krasnoselsky. She expressed sympathy and support for the population of the Transnistrian region, which found itself in a difficult situation. The diplomat, who arrived in Moldova on the 9th day of her leadership in the OSCE, noted that official Chisinau is ready to assist Transnistria in organizing the process of using European energy resources. It was also noted that Moldova will not interfere if Russian gas supplies to Transnistria are resumed. Elina Valtonen emphasized that she expects to look not to the past, but to the future and will facilitate the establishment of relations between Chisinau and Tiraspol.
