Termoelectrica has shut down one of its power units

According to Termoelectrica's press service, the warm weather over the last few days has reduced heat consumption and the company has temporarily switched off power unit No. 3 of Source 1. It will be connected again on January 11. Thus, now 2 out of 3 power units are operating at the enterprise, and temporary shutdown of one power unit does not affect the current energy load. Power units No. 1 and No. 2 of Source 1, as well as 2 boilers and 1 turbine generator of Source 2 are currently operating. The Western and Southern CHPPs and suburban heat sources are operating in normal mode. This allows providing all consumers connected to the centralized heat supply system, which is 4341 buildings, including residential buildings, social facilities and enterprises. The company notes that all power units are operational, modernized and maintained according to the annual maintenance schedule. Termoelectrica has also implemented important projects to modernize the heat transportation and distribution infrastructure, avoiding the need for overhauls during the cold season. In case of malfunctions, the company has spare equipment to ensure the continuity of the production process. // 09.01.2025 - InfoMarket
