
Moldova has joined the Global Alliance for Green Economy and intends to join the International Solar Alliance in December 2024
The Ministry of Energy reported this, noting that within the framework of the UN Climate Change Conference (COP29) held in Baku, Moldova joined the Global Alliance for Green Economy (GAGE), which includes 89 countries. Joining it will help attract investments in the green energy sector of our country. Within the framework of the UN Climate Change Conference (COP29) in Baku, State Secretary of the Ministry of Energy of Moldova Carolina Novac held discussions with representatives of the International Solar Alliance (ISA) - Head of Governance and Partnerships Shishir Seth and Head of Operations Joshua Wycliffe. ISA is focused on promoting solar energy. The parties discussed preparations for the signing of an agreement on Moldova's accession to ISA, which will take place in the context of the opening of the Moldovan Embassy in India (New Delhi). The agreement is expected to be signed in December 2024, making Moldova the 121st member of ISA, thus strengthening the country's commitment to promoting solar energy and the green transition worldwide.
