The first batch of 4,000 tons of diesel fuel provided by Romania to Moldova as external humanitarian aid arrived in Causeni.
This was reported by the Material Reserves Agency, noting that the train of 26 tank cars with a total weight of 1,336 tons was accepted on March 29 after customs and technical procedures. Yesterday, April 1, the necessary measurements were carried out and laboratory samples were taken to determine quality indicators, after which the distribution of fuel to the final beneficiaries will begin. They will be informed about receiving fuel through the Agency for Interventions and Payments in Agriculture, district councils (agricultural departments) and the website of the Agency for Material Reserves. To receive diesel fuel, beneficiaries must provide a package of documents. Earlier it was reported that diesel fuel provided by Romania as humanitarian aid will be distributed among 1,490 agricultural producers in Moldova through the Material Reserves Agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The average amount of diesel fuel per hectare will be 35.01 kg. The Ministry of Agriculture noted that micro and small farms, as well as government agencies that own and operate arable land with an area of up to 1,500 hectares, sown with phytotechnical crops for the 2022 harvest, which were affected by drought, have the right to humanitarian aid in the form of diesel fuel from Romania. // 02.04.2024 — InfoMarket
