Current debt of end consumers of Moldova for natural gas supplied to them as of March 25 of this year amounted to 318.59 million lei.

Current debt of end consumers of Moldova for natural gas supplied to them as of March 25 of this year amounted to 318.59 million lei.

This was announced by the Chairman of the Board of JSC Moldovagaz, Vadim Ceban, noting that of this amount, 240 million 548 thousand lei are accounted for by non-household consumers, and 78 million 047 thousand lei - by household consumers. According to him, this situation threatens the fulfillment of JSC Moldovagaz’s contractual obligations to suppliers, and it is directly related to the timely payment by end consumers of the cost of consumed natural gas. Thus, in order to avoid an increase in debt for natural gas, and in order to fulfill its financial obligations, Moldovagaz JSC warns about the start of the procedure for disconnecting the gas installations of debtor consumers. In addition, in connection with the end of the period for calculating compensation for payment for consumed natural gas on March 31, 2024, the company calls for access to employees (controllers) of gas distribution system operators to take meter readings in order to issue the most accurate invoices for supplied natural gas . At the same time, the head of Moldovagaz noted that according to paragraph 56 (part 1) of government resolution No. 704 of October 5, 2022 on the approval of the Regulations on the assignment of categories of energy vulnerability, the procedure for establishing and paying compensation for payment of invoices, the period for their recalculation accrued to consumers during the cold period of the year 2023-2024 expires on July 1. JSC Moldovagaz informs end consumers about the expiration of the deadline for payment of the invoice for February 2024, namely March 15, 2024 for non-residential consumers, and March 20, 2024 for household consumers. //28.03.2024 - InfoMarket.
