Companies that own gas stations will be able to independently establish a customer service mechanism, including introducing self-service.
The Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization proposes to include this initiative in the new business deregulation package (No. 6), which is submitted for public consultation. One of the proposals concerns the introduction of rules in the retail trade of petroleum products. It provides that the oil company has the right to independently determine the mechanism for servicing customers, including offering self-service to customers, without the participation and control of the operator. It is also proposed to allow the purchase of petroleum products in packaging (metal or plastic cans) and to prohibit the supply of basic petroleum products in other containers not intended for this purpose. The proposal was initiated by the Association of Foreign Investors. In total, the new package of amendments includes 14 changes to a number of regulations. They relate to construction, real estate registration, labor migration, private detective and security activities, advertising, gambling, etc. The proposals were initiated by business associations, the Economic Council under the Prime Minister and other organizations and are aimed at reducing costs for business, de-bureaucratizing procedures, and eliminating outdated norms in legislation or those that contradict EU legislation. Consultations and proposals for the sixth deregulation package are accepted until April 2: https://goo.su/OvUsG. //25.03.2024 – InfoMarket.
