A tender has been announced for the selection of a company that will carry out the design and construction of the 400 kV Balti-Suceava transmission line.

A tender has been announced for the selection of a company that will carry out the design and construction of the 400 kV Balti-Suceava transmission line.

The Energy Ministry announced this, noting that this connection is of strategic importance for our country, as it is the second 400 kV high-voltage transmission line with Romania and ENTSO-E. The 400 kV Balti-Suceava transmission line project also provides for a memorandum of agreement with the status of an intergovernmental treaty, signed on December 11 by the Moldovan and Romanian energy ministers. "In order to accelerate the implementation of the project as quickly as possible, on the basis of the feasibility study already carried out, a tender is announced to choose the company that will carry out the design and construction of the facility," Moldovan Energy Ministry State Secretary Constantin Borosan said. He recalled that the project is financed with the support of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the European Investment Bank and the European Union. Earlier it was reported that the construction of the Balti-Suceava transmission line may be completed by the end of 2027. // 26.12.2023 - InfoMarket.
