ANRE suspended the license of the supplier Rotalin Gaz Trading and obliged Moldovagaz to ensure supplies to its consumers.
The National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) reported this, noting that at an extraordinary meeting held on October 2, ANRE's Management Board decided to suspend for 3 months the supply license issued to Rotalin Gaz Trading. At the same time, the temporary obligation to supply its end users with natural gas was assigned to Moldovagaz as a guarantee supplier. This decision was taken after Rotalin Gaz Trading refused to fulfill the last week's ANRE's order on preventing the interruption of legitimate tasks of ensuring natural gas supply to end consumers at regulated prices. According to the official information received from the transmission system operator Vestmoldtransgaz, since October 1, Rotalin Gaz Trading has not submitted any report on the actual flow of gas it intends to inject or actually withdraw from the system, which confirms the interruption of the natural gas supply activity. Starting tomorrow, October 3, the guaranteeing supplier Moldovagaz will supply natural gas to the end consumers of Rotalin Gaz Trading. The contract for natural gas supply with Moldovagaz, within the obligation to provide public service of the guaranteeing supplier, will be considered concluded from the date of establishing and ensuring the physical supply to the final consumer, regardless of whether the final consumer has applied for natural gas supply or not. At the same time, ANRE's Management Board ordered the initiation of financial sanctions proceedings against Rotalin Gaz Trading. ANRE assured its customers that gas supplies will not be interrupted, while the energy regulator will also take all legal measures to hold the supplier responsible for such behavior towards its customers. // 02.10.2023 - InfoMarket
