Turkey will export 2 million cubic meters of natural gas per day to Moldova under the contract signed by the Turkish BOTAŞ and East Gas Energy Trading Company.

The document was signed by the Chairman and General Director of BOTAŞ Burhan Özcan and the General Director of East Gas Energy Trading Company Nicolai Gaborak. As noted, the deal follows several other recent important Turkish natural gas export agreements that BOTAŞ entered into to supply natural gas via pipelines to Bulgaria, Hungary and Romania. Under the agreement signed with East Gas Energy Trading, BOTAŞ will supply Moldova with 2 million cubic meters of natural gas per day, starting from October 1. As noted, East Gas Energy Trading is a company playing an active role in the region and especially in the energy market of Moldova. And the Turkish company BOTAŞ, the architect of Turkey's energy security, continues to make a major contribution to European energy security, concluding export deals one after another. Taking advantage of its strong infrastructure, advanced transmission system and geographical location, BOTAŞ continues to sign new export agreements, aiming to transform Turkey into a natural gas trading hub. // 28.09.2023 — InfoMarket
