The state-owned company Energocom is expanding the scope of its activities in the European energy market.

As noted in its message, the company recently completed the registration procedure with the operators of gas transmission systems in Slovakia - EUSTREAM, and Austria - Gas Connect Austria GmbH. This allows access to Slovak and Austrian virtual trading points (VTP), making it possible to transport natural gas to Moldova, diversifying both supply sources and transportation routes. Energocom is currently in the process of registering with the Austrian exchange Central Europe Gas Hub (CEGH) and the Austrian gas storage facility Baumgarten, which will provide more opportunities for the purchase of natural gas and allow it to be stored in underground storage facilities, in addition to those located in Romania and Ukraine. “We are in the process of preparing for the cold season 2023-2024 and having obligations to provide energy resources, Energocom is constantly looking for new sources of supply to ensure the country’s energy security and provide Moldovan consumers with energy resources at competitive prices,” the state-owned company said in a statement. // 28.09.2023 — InfoMarket
