Non-residential consumers exceeding the allowable daily level of natural gas use will have to compensate for the financial damage caused to the supplier due to the creation of imbalances.
The Administrative Council of the National Agency for Energy Regulation made appropriate changes to the Regulations on the supply and distribution of natural gas. The maximum daily level of natural gas use is 50 MWh. In turn, in the event of an incomplete supply by the supplier of the monthly volume of natural gas (due to his fault) by more than 5% of the volumes established in the appendix to the contract with the consumer, the supplier must compensate the non-household consumer for the damage caused, except for cases of a decrease in the volume of natural gas provided in connection with consumer debts. Such changes, according to the management of NAER, will lead to increased responsibility of natural gas suppliers and non-residential consumers, improve the quality of services for the transportation and distribution of natural gas and ensure uninterrupted supply, as well as provide an effective mechanism for compensating for losses, both of end users and suppliers.// 15.08.2023 — InfoMarket.
