Energocom has signed a memorandum of cooperation with Towarowa Giełda Energii (TGE), the electric energy market operator and the only commodity exchange in Poland.

The ceremony took place within the Moldovan-Polish business forum held on April 5, on the eve of the visit to Moldova of Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. Energocom said the document opens up new opportunities for the state company to cooperate in order to adopt Polish experience and enter a new market. "In addition to the exchange of knowledge and experience provided by Polish colleagues, this document will be like an open gate for access to the exchange and energy market in Poland at any time," said Victor Binzari, interim director of Energocom. "By signing the memorandum of cooperation TGE made the first step on the Moldovan energy market. There is investment potential due to the urgent need to modernize and transform the Moldovan economy, and our company's activity is consistent with the development of Moldovan-Polish relations and Moldova's desire to become closer to the European Union," said Piotr Listwoń, Vice President of the Management Board of Towarowa Giełda Energii. In October 2022, Energocom was listed on the Romanian Stock Exchange after opening a branch and obtaining a license, and subsequently purchased electricity and natural gas there. // 05.04.2023 - InfoMarket.
