Gasoline prices in Moldova increased against the background of the growth of quotations for oil and oil products after the announcement of the OPEC + countries on the reduction of oil production.
This was reported by the National Agency for Energy Regulation, noting that after the recent announcement by the main oil producers within OPEC + about their decision to voluntarily cut production, international markets immediately reacted to this with a significant increase in prices for both crude oil and refined products. Thus, the price of Brent crude oil rose from $78 per barrel to $86 per barrel, while world fuel prices increased in one day by about $40 per ton of gasoline and by about $30 per ton of diesel fuel. Accordingly, this evolution also affected the calculations of the final prices for fuel at a gas stations. For tomorrow, April 5, NAER has set the following maximum retail prices for basic standard oil products: gasoline COR 95 - 25.02 lei per liter (+13 bani); standard diesel fuel - 20.79 lei per liter (no change). NAER assures consumers of the correctness of the maximum selling prices for the main standard-type petroleum products and reiterates that the current pricing mechanism provides fair and transparent prices that reliably reflect the trends of both growth and decline in international quotations.// 04.04.2023 — InfoMarket.
