Retail price of diesel fuel dropped in Moldova below 23 lei per liter over the last 2 weeks, decreasing by 2.4 lei per liter (-10%).
The National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) reported this, noting that in the last period, when setting maximum retail prices for basic standard-type petroleum products, the energy regulator notes a steady decline in these values. According to a report by ANRE, if two weeks ago the maximum retail price of standard diesel fuel was set at 25.23 lei per liter, as of February 10, it dropped to 22.83 lei per liter, thus decreasing by 2.4 lei per liter. In the case of COR 95 gasoline, the prices decreased more moderately. Nevertheless, its price dropped below 25 lei per liter. During the same period, prices dropped by 0.73 lei per liter (-3%). For the next three days (February 11-13) ANRE has set the following maximum retail prices for basic standard-type petroleum products: gasoline COR 95 - 24.95 lei per liter (-9 bani); standard diesel - 22.83 lei per liter (-28 bani). The energy regulator stresses that the decrease of retail prices for fuel in Moldova, established by ANRE, is mainly due to the decrease of Platts' quotations, the indicator underlying the current Methodology of price level setting, given the fact that Moldova imports 100% of petroleum products. // 10.02.2023 - InfoMarket.
