The final volume and price of natural gas to be purchased and sold by Energocom to Moldovagaz will be set until 20 January 2023.
The Emergency Situations Commission issued a decision to this effect. The Commission decided on 16 December 2010 that Energocom will buy and sell to Moldovagaz up to 100 million cubic meters of natural gas at a preliminary price of $1108.61 per 1,000 cubic meters. The final volume and price of natural gas was planned to be set by 10 January 2023 with an act of delivery and acceptance of natural gas, signed between Moldovagaz and Energocom, and a calculation of costs incurred, presented by Energocom. With its new decision, the Emergency Situations Commission extended the deadline to January 20. Energocom buys and sells gas to Moldovagaz due to a decrease of natural gas supplies by Gazprom as compared to contractual amounts. It was agreed that Moldovagaz, in order to fulfill its obligations of gas supply to household consumers, will apply to Energocom for natural gas purchase, and Energocom is obliged, without the need of the Board and/or the general meeting of shareholders’ approval, to conclude an individual contract with Moldovagaz within an EFET contract under the following terms: approximate volume - up to 100 million cubic meters of natural gas with delivery in December 2022; natural gas purchased by Moldovagaz will be supplied exclusively to the Moldovan territory. It has been agreed that the payment of the gas supplied by Energocom to Moldovagaz will take place by 20 January 2023. If Moldovagaz will not pay the gas debt in time and in full, and the delay in payment lasts over 5 banking days, Energocom will notify the government immediately. Natural gas volumes for delivery will be requested by Moldovagaz from Energocom daily, indicating the necessary volumes through the entry points of the transport networks managed by Moldovatransgas. //23.12.2022 - InfoMarket.
