The gas tariff for Moldovan consumers will not change after the Emergency Situations Commission’s decision to sell Moldovagaz gas at an average price of $1108.61 per thousand cubic meters.

This was stated by Andrei Spinu, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development. He noted on his social networking page that for the first time in the history of our country, the right bank of the Nistru River does not consume gas supplied by Gazprom. "Since last year, we promised to make reserves and find alternatives to stop depending on one source. We have succeeded in doing so. In December, Energocom will sell 100 million cubic meters of natural gas to Moldovagaz at an average price of $1,108.61 per 1,000 cubic meters, according to a decision of the Emergency Situations Commission. This price includes all costs: gas purchase price, transportation costs and storage costs incurred by Energocom. In addition, the government continues to increase gas reserves for the coming months. It is important to note that the tariff will not change after this decision. Citizens will continue to receive support in the bill, and we will survive this winter well. Thank you for your support and solidarity!" - wrote Andrei Spinu. // 19.12.2022 – InfoMarket
