Moldova simplifies the import of gasoline and diesel fuel from EU countries.
This is provided for by amendments to several government resolutions, approved by the Cabinet at a meeting on Wednesday. The document stipulates simplifying the access to Moldovan market of main oil products (gasoline and diesel), originating from European Union countries. Thus, if petroleum products are directly imported from producers in EU countries, documents confirming the quality of petroleum products will be recognized without obligatory sampling on the customs territory of Moldova. Thus, Moldova will recognize the documents issued by the producer, confirming the quality of petroleum products (declaration of conformity and inspection/testing report), issued by an inspection body or laboratory accredited in the EU. Accordingly, there is no need for mandatory sampling and laboratory tests at the stage of importing these products into Moldova. Also, the State Inspectorate for Supervision of Non-food Products and Protection of Consumer Rights is to exercise state control over the quality of oil products placed on the market and their technical characteristics. It is planned that the Ministry of Economy will make an annual report on monitoring the quality of gasoline and diesel fuel for the previous calendar year by the end of July. // 15.12.2022 - InfoMarket
