The state-run Energocom will conclude electricity purchase contracts until March 2023 based on direct negotiations and/or through the exchange.
The Emergency Situations Commission adopted this decision. As noted in its direction, in order to ensure the necessary amount of electricity for the domestic market in January-March 2023, Energocom is charged with the obligation of public service for the purchase of electricity requested by system operators, universal suppliers and suppliers of last resort. It is stipulated that, in derogation from current legislation, Energocom will conclude contracts for the purchase of electricity based on direct negotiations and/or through the exchange. In order to ensure the volume of electricity needed by end consumers and system operators to cover technological consumption and electricity losses in the electricity networks, universal service providers, suppliers of last resort and system operators are instructed to purchase electricity based on bilateral contracts entered into by Energocom for this purpose. If the terms of electricity procurement change, universal service providers, suppliers of last resort and system operators will conclude additional agreements to the contracts with Energocom within two working days. //23/12/2022 - InfoMarket.
