NAER has approved an increase in tariffs for heat supplied by a number of centralized suppliers, as well as electricity generated through cogeneration.

According to the decision of NAER, the changes were made on the basis of the decision of the Commission for Emergency Situations of Moldova of December 16 and the increase in the purchase price of natural gas, from 18345 lei/1000 cubic meters to 24915 lei/1000 cubic meters (+36%). In this regard, the following tariffs for heat supplied within the framework of district heating systems (excluding VAT) were approved: CET Nord - the tariff for heat supplied to consumers was approved in the amount of 3905 lei/Gcal, which is 853 lei (28%) higher than the current tariff; Komgaz-Plus - 4806 lei/Gcal (+1040 lei or 28%); Comrat Municipal Enterprise of Heating Networks and Heating Plants - 4355 lei/Gcal, (+1,013 lei or 30%); Apă-Canal Chişinău - 4,271 lei/Gcal (+1137 lei or 36%); Glodeni communal services - 4208 lei/Gcal (+978 lei or 30%); Antermo - 4208 lei/Gcal (+1021 lei or 32%); Housing and communal services of Orhei - 4445 lei/Gcal (+933 lei or 27%). Also, the price for electricity produced in CET Nord's cogeneration mode was approved at 611 bani/kWh, which is 154 bani (34%) higher than the current price. It is noted that the approved price applies to the electricity producer and does not directly affect the regulated price of electricity supplied to end consumers. The new prices and tariffs will come into effect from the date of publication in Monitorul Oficial. It should be noted that with the entry into force of the Government Decree of November 23 on the approval of the compensated volume and prices / tariffs for residential consumers in the category of energy vulnerability for the period from November 2022 to March 2023, the maximum compensated volume is 1.3 Gcal / month. Thus, the compensated price for household consumers connected to the centralized heat energy system under the category of energy vulnerability will be: 1450 lei per Gcal - very high vulnerability; 1700 lei - high vulnerability; 1950 lei - medium vulnerability; 2500 lei - low vulnerability.// 21.12.2022 — InfoMarket
