Retail prices for standard gasoline and diesel fuel will drop below 25 lei per liter in Moldova.
The National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) reported this, noting that it continues to observe a decrease in quotations of both gasoline and diesel fuel, which is reflected in fuel prices at petrol stations. ANRE said Dow Jones Market Data reported that Brent crude oil prices fell to their lowest level this year during trading on Monday. According to foreign analysts, the reason for the fall was the mass protests against quarantine held over the weekend in China, expectations of the results of the next OPEC+ meeting, which will be held on December 4, and EU negotiations on the introduction of a ceiling on Russian oil prices. At the same time, over the past month, Platts quotes have fallen significantly, falling below $900 per ton of diesel and below $830 per ton of gasoline, which allowed the gasoline price for both types of fuel to fall below 25 lei per liter. Thus, as of tomorrow, 30 November, ANRE has set the following maximum retail prices for main standard petrol products: gasoline COR 95 - 24.86 lei per liter (-24 bani); standard diesel - 24.92 lei per liter (-27 bani). ANRE assures Moldovan consumers that, according to the methodology in force, fuel is sold at petrol stations at a fair price, corresponding to the realities of the day of purchase. The prices of petroleum products are influenced only by the developments on the international market, excluding the possibility for oil companies to interfere in the process of forming them. // 29.11.2022 - InfoMarket
