Another 81 Moldovan enterprises received grants totaling 43 million lei through the Organization for Entrepreneurship Development (ODA)
The grant funds, provided by the Moldovan government and the World Bank Group, are expected to attract approximately 96.6 million lei in investments into the economy, contributing to job creation, technological modernization, and increased competitiveness in foreign markets. Specifically, 59 companies will receive 24 million lei in grant funding from the government, while 22 companies received grants totaling 19 million lei under the Program to Enhance the Competitiveness of Local Producers and Integration into Value Chains, funded by the government and the World Bank Group through ODA and the World Bank’s Competitiveness Enhancement Implementation Unit. Currently, the beneficiary companies employ about 1,200 people, and with the implementation of projects funded by grant assistance, they will create at least 420 new jobs in their local communities. As ODA Director Vadim Codreanu noted at the official grant certificate award ceremony, the assistance provided contributes to increased economic competitiveness, wage growth, strengthened local development capacity, and poverty reduction. He urged businesses to participate in business support programs, noting that ODA offers a diverse business support ecosystem—ranging from non-repayable grants to favorable financing through products such as Facem Investiții BGK, FACEM Impact, and “Program 373.” In addition, a new product, IMM GARANT, has been launched, implemented through an individual guarantee mechanism and managed by the Credit Guarantee Fund. Eugen Osmochescu, Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization, who participated in the event, emphasized the role of the private sector as the engine of the economy, despite the complex geopolitical context. He also noted the role of ODA, which is undergoing a reorganization from a support institution into a future development fund. The minister emphasized that the private sector is the driving force of the economy, and the government’s task is to provide the necessary tools to support business. It is worth noting that in 2025, 810 business projects were approved for funding under grant instruments managed by ODA, with the total amount of approved grant funding reaching 346.4 million lei. These grants injected 653.3 million lei into the economy. Thanks to support from the state budget and development partners, 10,374 jobs were preserved, and another 5,073 are planned to be created. // 02.04.2026 – InfoMarket.
