
Moldova has signed 9 new financing agreements, providing for the allocation of 80 million euros in grants and 305.1 million euros in loans on favorable terms
Government's press service reported this, noting that the documents were signed within the 5th edition of the Ministerial Conference of the Moldova Partnership Platform held in Chisinau. The documents are about obtaining substantial assistance for the country's economy in general and for the environment in particular, significant investments to improve the citizens' quality of life, increase the number of well-paid jobs and promote the development of infrastructure, forestry, renewable energy and related sectors. The projects financed by external partners will support investments in infrastructure and the transition to a green and sustainable economy for the benefit of citizens, stimulating sustainable economic growth, improvement of living conditions and adaptation to climate change. Prime Minister Dorin Recean said that the implementation of these agreements will have a direct and positive impact on the living standards of the Moldovan population. “Our goal is to improve the living conditions of citizens. We are grateful to our friends for the support needed to achieve these goals,” Dorin Recean said. Sixty-five delegations are participating in the 5th Ministerial Conference of the Moldova Partnership Platform. The event is held under the patronage of Prime Minister. During the meeting, Maia Sandu and Dorin Recean spoke about the country's development priorities in the medium and long term, as well as about the projects planned to improve people's quality of life. Also, during the day, the discussions will be focused on the results and needs identified within 4 working groups: justice, anti-corruption and security; energy, energy efficiency and environment; sustainable economic development and strategic infrastructure; public administration reform and public finance management.
