
Moldova and Slovakia to expand trade and economic investment cooperation
This was stated during the meeting of the Joint Consultative Commission between Slovakia and Moldova, held in Bratislava and attended by State Secretary of the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization Viorel Garaz. According to the press service of the sectoral ministry, the meeting provided an opportunity to discuss and consolidate the trade and economic relations between Moldova and Slovakia. The Commission confirmed areas of common interest, such as investments, trade and export promotion, industrial and engineering cooperation, energy, cooperation between small and medium-sized enterprises, technical assistance, etc. In addition, some steps were agreed upon to further develop and strengthen cooperation. Viorel Garaz and Vladimir Šimoňák, State Secretary of the Slovak Economy Ministry, signed a protocol of the Joint Consultative Commission between Slovakia and Moldova. According to official data, 21 enterprises with Slovak capital operate in Moldova, with investments in their authorized capital amounting to 7.8 million lei.
