The Agency for Intervention and Payments in Agriculture (AIPA) has reminded that it is possible to apply for direct payments from the National Fund for Agricultural and Rural Development for livestock - for each heifer, theave, goat over 3 months old and heifer over 12 months old; for each foal and mare. Applications will be accepted until September 13. At the same time, for direct payments per kilogram of cow, sheep or goat milk produced from January 1 to June 30, applications will be accepted until August 23. Applications should be submitted to the territorial offices of the Agency for Intervention and Payments in Agriculture. The payments are provided from the National Fund for Agricultural and Rural Development, the size of which this year amounts to 1.6 billion lei. As previously reported by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, in Moldova, thanks to direct subsidy payments in the livestock sector, the volume of cow milk subsidized by the authorities increased by almost 45% over the year - from 29,000 tons in 2022 to over 42,000 tons in 2023.
