Moldovan journalists and independent media to receive small grants of up to 2,500 euros from the European Union

According to a statement by the EU Delegation to Moldova, the grants will enable the beneficiaries to purchase equipment necessary for digital safety and the implementation of online safety campaigns. The initiative is aimed at improving the ability of Moldovan professionals and media outlets to produce quality content, fight misinformation and ensure public access to reliable information. Priority will be given to participants from Chisinau suburbs and rural communities. The deadline for submitting applications is September 20. In addition, independent Moldovan editorial offices and journalists can apply for small grants, which will enable them to carry out activities aimed at team building, psychological support, combating professional burnout, and legal assistance. Grants of up to 2,500 euros are aimed at strengthening the resilience and effectiveness of media professionals. The funds should help them fight misinformation and provide the public with credible information. Applicants from rural areas and outside Chisinau will be selected on a priority basis.
