In general, in January-August 2021, compared to the same period in 2020, production volumes in the extractive industry increased by 8.2%, and in the processing industry - by 11.4%. According to NBS data, food industry enterprises for 8 months 2021, compared to the same period in 2020, reduced overall production by 6.3%. The production of beverages increased by 15.7%, textiles - by 27.4%, and clothing - by 14%. For tanning and leather finishing; production of suitcases, bags, harness and saddlery; dressing and dyeing of fur increased by 25.5%, and in the section wood processing and production of products from wood and cork, except for furniture; production of articles from straw and other plant materials for plaiting –49.4%. The production of paper and paper products increased by 17.5%, while the production of chemicals and chemical products decreased by 10.1%. The output of pharmaceutical products and pharmaceuticals increased by 21.8%, and rubber and plastic products - by 16.5%. In the metallurgical industry, production increased by 51.9%. The output of metal structures and products, except for machinery, equipment and installations, increased by 23.1%, and in the section "production of computers, electronic and optical products" the indicator increased by 28%. The production of electrical equipment increased by 12.4%, machinery and equipment - by 18.7%, and cars, trailers and semi-trailers - decreased by 10.8%. The production of furniture has more than doubled. In the section repair, maintenance and installation of machinery and equipment, the growth was 34%. The production and supply of electricity and heat, gas, hot water showed an increase of 21.4%.
