
In the first half of 2021, the volume of contract work in construction performed in Moldova amounted to 5.4 billion lei, which is 17.1% compared to the same period last year.
The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) informed that, according to the elements of the structure of work carried out by construction companies in January-June 2021, work on the construction of new objects still prevailed: they amounted to 3 billion 168.9 million lei, up by 20% to the same period of 2020. Their share in the total volume of work performed was 58.7%. The volume of capital repairs in the first half of 2021, relative to the same period last year, increased by 24.3% and amounted to 1 billion 111.5 million lei (20.6% of the total volume of work performed). At the same time, the volume of maintenance and current repairs increased by 6%, amounting to 996.9 million lei (18.4% of the total). The volume of other works decreased by 9.5% and amounted to 125.2 million lei (share - 2.3% of the total). As far as construction objects are concerned, the volume of work performed in the construction of residential buildings in January-June 2021 increased by 18.4%, amounting to 1 billion 831.7 million lei (33.9% of the total work performed). In the construction of non-residential buildings, the volume of work increased by 13.6% - up to 1 billion 348 million lei (share - 25%), in the construction of engineering structures, the indicator increased by 20.4% and amounted to 2 billion 097.6 million lei (the share of work performed accounted for 38.8% of the total). // 21.08.2021 - InfoMarket
