
The Competition Council will implement a technical assistance project with EU support
According to the institution's press service, the Competition Council will receive assistance under a new project financed by the European Union, which will be coordinated by the Romanian competition authority. Thus, a consortium led by the Romanian Competition Council, which also includes the competition authorities of Lithuania and Poland, was selected to implement in Moldova the EU twinning project “Strengthening the institutional capacity of the Competition Council to enforce the competition and state aid policy in line with EU best practices”. The project partners will support the enforcement of competition and state aid laws and the improvement of the institutional and administrative capacity of the Moldovan Competition Council so that it can act as a competition authority similar to the EU competition authorities. The project is funded by the EU, will last 27 months and will be launched in the first half of October.
