Moldova is simplifying the process of employment of Ukrainian refugees.

Moldova is simplifying the process of employment of Ukrainian refugees.

According to Minister of Economy Sergiu Gaibu, at a meeting on March 1, the Commission for Emergency Situations adopted a number of decisions that will allow Ukrainian refugees to be employed under a simplified procedure. In particular, employers will be able to conclude individual contracts with refugees directly, and not through the Bureau for Migration and Asylum, as provided for by law. But within 5 days after the employment of a Ukrainian citizen, each employer is obliged to present to the Migration Bureau copies of the employment contract and the identity card of the employed citizen of Ukraine, indicating the IDNP number, which is awarded to each refugee upon entering the territory of Moldova. Refugees arriving through the Transnistrian region will be able to obtain an IDNP from the Public Services Agency. Also, by the decision of the Commission for Emergency Situations in Moldova, the deduction for tax purposes of expenses related to donations for temporary accommodation and management of the flow of refugees will be allowed. Another decision of the commission provides for the simplification of the procedure for opening bank accounts for individuals who have entered from Ukraine since February 23. Commercial banks will apply simplified precautionary measures - up to 10,000 euros per client.// 01.03.2022 — InfoMarket
