The Parliamentary Commission on National Security, Defense and Public Order approved the Parliamentary Oversight Plan for 2022.

This document defines the areas in which parliamentary control will be exercised, including national security; data security and cybersecurity; national defense; public order; fight against corruption and integrity; negotiation process on the territorial regulation of Moldova. According to the plan, annual reports on the activities of the Information and Security Service, the State Security and Protection Service, the Customs Service and the General Inspectorate of the Border Police for 2021 will be heard. The final report of the Prosecutor General's Office on special investigative activities for the previous year and the hearings of the Public Services Agency on the implementation of the Law on Identity Documents of the National Passport System are also to be considered. It is necessary to hear the competent authorities on the implementation of the Law on State Secrets, the Law on Aviation Security, the Law on Electronic Signature and Electronic Document, the Law on Prevention and Combating Cybercrime, etc. The Information Security Strategy of Moldova for 2019-2024 is also subject to parliamentary control as well as the action plan for its implementation.
